My sweet mother, the most selfless person I know and always ready to help anyone. My mother was always there for me and never gave up on me. I am grateful for all sh did for me till this my adult age. It is so unfortunate I won’t be able to see her anymore nor take care of her and pay her for all she did and all her sacrifice. She was a very supportive pillar to the family and would always give us the best and support Dad. May God be with us and give us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss and keep me, my dad and siblings. It is well Indeed

My mum, Kikelomo Akinluyi, was one of the most open hearted people I know. She was a great mother who loved us, her children, affectionately as she endeavored to give us the best in life. She was a hands-on parent even though she had a full-time career. She believed her children could accomplish whatever they set their minds on. She was funny, caring, cherished our moments of silliness and she always made us laugh. Our wins were her wins and our fears her concerns. She took them on and always prayed and encouraged

Thank you so much to everyone for being here today to celebrate life and honour the memory of my mother. Expressing the depth of her influence in mere words feels like an insurmountable task, but I embrace the opportunity to honour her remarkable journey and the profound impact she had on my life. I remember one morning, while my siblings and I were all in primary school, my mother, as usual, had woken up hours before us to make us breakfast and pack our lunches. That morning our breakfast was a sandwich, and my mum had put it on plates for us to eat on our way, because we were running late.

Hmmm! iku doro o mu éni rere ló, Araba wo! Eyin óókan ka! I know everyone will die one day but your death was a shock to me because I was not expecting death to take you away from us so soon. O ma se o! Sister mi, why did you leave me at this time? Well, nobody to question God. Sister mi, I will live to remember you in life. Bye bye, I miss you, dear sister. Goodnight!

Your only Sister, Layo

Darling Mama, like I used to call you, your death is still a shock to me because I so much believe in God’s miracle, but we can’t question God. Mama, you really showed me love when you were alive. God and you made me who I am today. It is one of those things in life. A price we all owe. Time for payment is the only thing we don’t know. We only pray we grow old enough to mature for the payment. Continue to rest in perfect peace, and you will forever be in my heart, Darling Mama.

A pillar of strength to her loved ones, you demonstrated resillence, grace and an unwavering spirit to face life’s adversities. You were a giver, a very hardworking woman.
